Madison Bennett is a Marketing Manager who focuses on developing and implementing a variety of successful marketing campaigns and materials including website builds, content for social media platforms, advertisements, email blasts, press releases, and more.

She is currently with Coeus Creative Group and has been with the organization since March of 2019. In addition to creating content, Madison manages other creators; acting as a liaison between the client and team members, and providing guidance and leadership to ensure client’s vision and goals are met in marketing campaigns and projects.

Prior to joining Coeus, Madison was formerly a journalist with MLive Media Group and wrote for the Cadence, a weekly newspaper covering East Grand Rapids, Ada Township, Cascade Township, Cedar Springs, Grand Rapids Township and Plainfield Township.

The Cadence centered around hyper-local reporting on government, education, development and events in its communities, and ceased publication in January 2019.

In May 2018, Madison received third place for her work with the Cadence in the Michigan Press Association's 2017 Rookie Writer of the Year, a category of their annual Better Newspaper Contest.

Madison graduated from Western Michigan University with a BA in journalism and a minor in Spanish in April 2016. During her time in undergrad, she worked in two editorial positions; as Chief Campus Editor of The Black Sheep and as a news intern with WMUK, a non-profit radio station and charter member of NPR in Kalamazoo.

Following graduation, she started as a reporting intern with the Kalamazoo Gazette in July 2016 and spent nearly a year in that role before going full-time with the Cadence.

While working at the Kalamazoo Gazette, she worked the beat of higher education in addition to breaking news, courts, cops, community events and more.
